Overview

Join Musafir Journey for a refreshing trip to the peaceful hills of Uttarakhand.
The journey starts with an overnight drive from Delhi to Chopta. On the way, stop at Devprayag Sangam, where two rivers meet. Reach Chopta and enjoy the calm surroundings. The next day, start your trek to Tungnath Temple, the highest Shiva temple, and continue to Chandrashila Peak for amazing mountain views. On Day 3, visit the beautiful Deoriatal Lake, then head back to Delhi in the evening. You’ll reach Delhi the next morning with great memories and lots of pictures.

  • Cost of snow-chained or 4*4 Vehicle if needed due to heavy snowfall.
  • Any other costing involved due to circumstances like natural calamity, weather conditions, riots, roadblocks, landslides or any other forced circumstances which are out of our control.

  • Before 30 days of travel date 10% of the total package cost
  • Between 30 days to 20 days of travel date 30% of the total package cost
  • Between 20 days to 10 days of travel date 80% of the total package cost
  • Between 10 days to 05 days of travel date 100% of the total package cost

What To Expect

Day 1: Devprayag Sangam | Chopta Arrival

  • Enroute Chopta, we will take a pit stop at Devprayag in early morning to witness the beautiful confluence of Bhagirathi & Alaknanda rivers ultimately becoming Ganga River.
  • Further we will take a halt around Rudraprayag to grab a satisfying breakfast and continue our journey towards Chopta.
  • After arriving in Chopta Valley, check-in to our campsite/guesthouse, freshen-up and have some leisure.
  • Go for a forest walk and absorb in the charming Himalayan beauty. In the evening, enjoy warm bonfire and mouth-watering snacks under a million stars.
  • Savour home-style cooked dinner and overnight stay in camps/homestay.

Day 2 Trek to Chandrashila via Tungnath Mahadev Temple

  • Wake up early to witness the beautiful sunrise and post breakfast, drive to the starting point of our trek.
  • Begin your trek to Tungnath – one of the Panch Kedar and World’s highest temple dedicated to Lord Shiva.
  • Trek further to magnificent Chandrashila Peak situated at 13,000 ft (if weather & conditions permits) and gather for a #InstaPerfect group picture.
  • Trek back to Chopta village and drive back to our property and have some leisure.
  • Savour home-style cooked dinner and overnight stay in a camps/homestay.

Day 3 Depart for Delhi via Rishikesh

  • Wake up to a peaceful mountain morning and post breakfast, check out from the property.
  • Post lunch start-off your return journey to Delhi.
  • Take a halt at Rishikesh in the night to explore the local market, go for cafe hopping, visit temples and serene Ganga ghats (if time permits)

Day 4 Delhi Arrival | Trip Ends

Frequently Asked Questions
  • Chopta is a small hill station in Uttarakhand, part of the Kedarnath Wildlife Sanctuary. It’s known as the “Mini Switzerland of India.

  • It’s a moderate trek, suitable for beginners with basic fitness. The trek from Chopta to Tungnath is around 3.5 km, and an additional 1.5 km to Chandrashila.

  • March to June and September to November are ideal. Snow lovers can also visit in winter (Dec–Feb), though Tungnath temple remains closed during snow season.

  • No, Tungnath Temple is open only from around April to November, depending on weather. In winter, the idol is shifted to Mukkumath village.
